Phil DiMaggio, a New York theatre professional who worked in a number of capacities over a long career, including casting director and stage manager, died on Aug. 14 in his home in Vermont, according to his friend Julie Hughes. He was 57.
As a stage manager, he manned the Broadway play Precious Sons, and the 1980s tours of The Tap Dance Kid and On Your Toes. For ten years, he was a member of Hughes Moss Casting, working on films such as "Blood Simple."
He is survived by long time partner Lee Crogen.
