Bond 45
Entering Bond 45, you’re struck by its art deco design. Surprisingly, Bond45 is only five years old. The first thing that grabs your attention is the antipasto bar with 25 hot/cold rotating selections (couscous, cauliflower Milanese, mozzarella with tomatoes and fresh basil, homemade burrata [creamy mozzarella], portobello mushrooms, prosciutto, quiche), which come à la carte or in a combo. Adjacent are four seafood salads and a divine smoked salmon carpaccio. Bond 45’s thin-crust pizza, made from imported Neapolitan ingredients, lives up to its reputation as the city’s best. Entrées include pasta, risotto and veal parmigiana. Or try sliced steak Gorgonzola, a 20-oz. rib steak Fiorentina, 21-day-plus dry-aged New York sirloin, or 32-oz. porterhouse. There are a hundred-plus wine selections, 16 by the glass. For dessert? The profiteroles with hazelnut gelato are heavenly.
